How to price printables on Etsy
There's no single right price for a printable, but there is a risky way to pick one: copying the lowest price in search without checking what Etsy's fees leave you. This method starts from the amount you want to keep per sale, adds Etsy's fees, then checks the result against what buyers already pay for similar listings. Step 1: Decide what you need to keep per sale
A printable has no materials or postage, so your costs are your time, any font or graphics licences, and tools. Pick a per-sale amount that makes the listing worth your time, e.g. $3. That's your input, not a prediction of sales.
Step 2: Add Etsy's fees to get the price

Step 3: Know where fees bite hardest

Under about $4.30, Etsy's fees are more than 20% of the price because $0.45 of every US sale is flat. That doesn't mean low prices never make sense, but it's worth knowing what each sale leaves you.
Step 4: Check comparable listings
Search Etsy for the exact thing a buyer would type (e.g. "weekly meal planner printable"), then note the price, number of pages or files, and what's included for 10 to 20 listings that look like yours. Ignore temporary sale prices and look at the regular price shown struck through. If your Step 2 price is far above the usual range, either add more value (more pages, editable versions, sizes) or rethink the product, rather than just undercutting.
Step 5: Consider bundles
Fees are partly flat per sale, so one larger sale keeps a bigger share than one small sale. A single $2 printable keeps $1.36 (68% of the price); one $8 bundle keeps $6.79 (85%). Bundling also gives buyers a reason to pay more at once. Keep single versions too if buyers in your niche search for them.
Step 6: Account for Offsite Ads and currency
Orders Etsy attributes to an Offsite Ad pay another 15% (12% for shops over $10,000 a year), up to $100.
