Etsy Offsite Ads fee calculator

Etsy's Offsite Ads fee is charged only on orders Etsy attributes to one of its ads on other sites: 15% of the order total for shops that have always made under $10,000 USD in any 365-day period, 12% for shops that have made $10,000 or more, and never more than $100 USD per order. It's on top of the normal fees. Enter a price to see both cases side by side.

On a $10 download the ad sale keeps $7.10 instead of $8.60. The 15% fee hits the $100 cap at an order total of about $666.67; the 12% fee at about $833.33. Below that, the fee is a straight percentage, so it never gets cheaper per sale on low-priced downloads.

How Etsy decides a sale came from an Offsite Ad

Can you opt out?

Per Etsy's help page, shops that have never made $10,000 USD in any consecutive 365-day period can opt out in Shop Manager › Settings › Offsite Ads. Once a shop reaches $10,000 in a 365-day period, participation is required for the life of the shop and the rate drops to 12%. Opting out also means no new sales from those ads, so look at how many of your orders were attributed (Shop Manager shows them) before you decide.

UK and EU shops

The same 15%/12% applies, the cap is $100 converted to your currency (about £75 or €90 at Oct 27 rates), and shops without a VAT ID also pay VAT on the ad fee, like other seller fees. Pick your country in the calculator above.

Fees per order = listing fee + 6.5% transaction + processing % and fixed fee + Regulatory Operating fee (UK, France, Italy, Spain) + Offsite Ads where selected, then VAT on that total for UK/EU shops without a VAT ID. Fixed USD fees are converted at the ECB reference rate of Oct 27, 2026 (about £0.15 / €0.18 for $0.20). Rates checked on Etsy's help pages on October 30, 2026. These are estimates from published rates; your Etsy payment account shows the final fees.
